INTENTION

Our MISSION

The intention of Relish is to create a space where people gather together, build a community and stand in freedom and safety. Generosity is the key here. All who come to Relish can take ownership by being involved in some part, however big or small their part may be. This is achieved by working together, helping each other, making and sharing food, and enjoying the environment and activities Relish has to offer. Slowing down for several days and simply being somewhere beautiful can feed and nurture the goodness that abounds within human connection. It is a time of sharing simple pleasures in a world that is moving ever faster.

ETHOS

The ethos of the Relish is one of kindness, co-creation, collaboration, generosity and sharing.

Memberships and how they work

Relish memberships are released in 3 rounds. The first round is for those who attended the last Relish (2023), the second phase is for the collection of humans who have attended any of the previous Relishes, and the final release is for the wider community. There are a limited number of memberships available in each round and a month between each release.

Membership Release Dates

  • First round:

    • Monday the 23rd of September: Available for those who attended Relish 2023. The membership link will be sent via email.

  • Second round;

    • Wednesday the 23rd of October: Available for anyone who attended one of the 5 previous Relish gatherings. The membership link will be sent via email.

  • Final round;

    • Monday the 25th of November: Available for the wider Relish Community. There will be a link on the Relish website with a form to apply for memberships.

By buying a membership you join the Relish club and become part of a group that share a common creative and social goal, with the bonus of a rather good party thrown into the mix.

The troops will join together on a particular day in March, 2025, at a beautiful place called Korimako, and host a community that embraces guests from all walks of life with a shared vision of what co-creation can look like. The meetings, the working bees, the mahi behind the scenes, the many hands that come together to make light work, all add to the journey that is Relish.

Gifting is a big part of the story and each member is encouraged to add to the gathering in a manner of their choosing, within their own capacity. There is no expectation on what this might look like.

Alcohol and Waste-free Festival

Relish is an Alcohol and Waste-Free Event.

We do not allow for open consumption of alcohol on-site. This allows us to create an environment that is safe for all that attend, and for all those attending to have conscious connections at all times.

There are no rubbish bins on site, and it is up to each individual person to be fully responsible for the waste they create. At the end of the festival the land is left as it was found at the start. We also encourage everyone to be aware of MOOP (Matter Out of Place) and to help care for the land while they reside upon it.
